General Volunteer opportunities at the Georgia Archives or the Capitol Museum
Volunteers work at either the Georgia Archives in Morrow or at the Georgia Capitol in Atlanta. Those volunteering in Morrow may assist with public programs, help patrons in the Reference Room, work on conservation projects and more! Volunteers at the Georgia Capitol may give tours to visitors, school groups, and adult groups as well as assist those visiting and/or working in the building. Please note that not all positions may be available at the time of application.

How does it work?

Simply complete the Expression of Interest Form. Forms are reviewed by staff and selected applicants will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator . Selected candidates are invited to attend an Orientation Session where they learn more about specific opportunities for volunteering. After orientation, volunteer candidates decide whether they would like to commit to volunteering and are matched (where possible) to available volunteer assignments.

General volunteers are needed for shifts of four hours (minimum) or more, Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
