Directory of Historical and Cultural Organizations

The Historical and Cultural Organizations Directory provides links and information for over 600 cultural and historical institutions statewide. This includes archives, libraries, museums, historical societies, and historic sites.

In addition, the Directory helps the Georgia Archives and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency respond with assistance during a natural or man-made disaster. The directory is searchable by keyword, county, city, and organization name.

Researchers:  To locate a specific organization, enter the organization name or the city in which it is located, if known. If you would like information on all organizations within a county, select the county from the drop down list and choose submit. If you are interested in a specific topic such as “Civil War” you may enter that in keywords.
